Jonathan “Joffers” McCormick is a wildlife and conservation enthusiast who has been in the industry for 11 years and has been fortunate enough to gain experience in a number of African countries. He is passionate about conservation and ensuring that we protect and preserve the environment for those who follow in our footsteps.  “For me it’s not about getting by or making sure that the wilderness is doing okay, but rather to be playing our part in making sure that the wilderness is excelling”.  Joffers has a keen interest in the relationship between community and conservation.  “The two really do go hand in hand and, as you aid one this can only result in a positive aspect for the other. This has been one of the biggest draws for me joining the Safari Craftsmen team as I really do believe that we can make a difference since we are all like-minded people with the same intentions and goals”.  “A safari is not a vacation as such but rather an epic experience and adventure that steals your heart. Walking through the African wilderness and feeling yourself being engulfed by nature is a feeling that cannot be described or explained. It allows for one to take note as to how the wilderness is like that of a puzzle, it takes all the smaller aspects to make up the bigger picture. This is why my true passion is being on foot in some of the most unique places on earth. Being able to capture these experiences is truly something magical and something that will never be taken for granted. Being a published photographer has allowed Joffers to help spread the word of conservation, it is now time to tackle this directly and know that, as part of the Safari Craftsmen team, he will be making a real difference to protecting the wilderness as well as the communities.
